Press Release regarding my invitation to the White House

Sept 3, 2013

For Immediate Release:

Steve Kossor, Founder of The Institute for Behavior Change, Exton PA has been invited to the White House to be recognized as a “Champion of Change” in our community on September 10th, 2013. This event will be highlighting Prevention and Public Health leaders.

Steve Kossor has been providing behavioral health services to children in Chester County since 1977. He has been recognized regionally and nationally as a leader in his field and now will be recognized by the White House.

The White House regularly features a group of Americans – individuals, businesses and organizations – who are doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities. On September 10th, 2013, White House and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) officials will participate in a discussion with these Champions to learn more about how their prevention and public health efforts will have lasting effects on the health of Americans.

Steve says “ I was surprised to get the invitation and pleased that the hard work of our staff has been recognized.” The event will be held on September 10th, 2013 from 10:00AM – Noon in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, South Court Auditorium, at the White House.

Early Childhood Development Conference in PA in October

“The Greatest Treatment Funding Secret Ever Concealed” is the title of the program that I have been presenting all over the country for the past several years. I will present it at the annual Center for School Mental Health Conference and the annual Early Childhood Development Conferences in October.

The program describes how parents of children with disabling conditions can access treatment funding through Medicaid for their child’s treatment — at no cost to parents regardless of family income in 36 states. I have combined this presentation with a description of the behavioral treatment program model I developed 20 years ago and have been using to help children with Autism, ADHD and other conditions, funded 100% by Medicaid. This could be done by any “licensed practitioner of the healing arts” in all 50 states. The psychology practice I created in 1997 has become the largest private psychology practice in Pennsylvania that is dedicated exclusively to helping children. You can learn more by if you google KOSSOR MEDICAID. Hope to spread the word in your area!
